Original Manga[]
The story of the original Tokyo Majin Gakuen video game spawned a manga adaption by artist Asato Kina (喜名朝飛), with the story supervised by lead creator Shuuhou Imai (今井秋芳). Production copyrights are maintained by Asmik Ace and Shout! Design Works.
Originally serialized by GanGan Wing Comics (Square Enix publication), the Kenpuuchou manga ran from December 27, 1999, until February 10, 2001. It was released in four book volumes.
This original manga is actually what the later anime adaption was based upon. The anime's second season ends with the same group battle theme and lack of closure as seen in the manga.

Anime Manga[]
After the televised airing of the anime adaption Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou: Tou, the series itself was made into a manga. The "comic-ized" version was drawn by artist Ryou Sakura (佐倉諒), with Shuuhou Imai and the Majin Production Committee overseeing the story rights.
Also serialized in GanGan Wing Comics (Square Enix publication) it's been released in three book volumes with only the first season of the anime covered so far. The manga offers no new insights into the story of the anime or its character profiles.
In English, the title has been mis-transliterated. This manga has become known as Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Ryu Ryu. In Japanese, the title of the anime and its manga version is: 東京魔人學園剣風帖 龖 with 龖 reading Tou (トウ). 龖 is often mistaken as 龍龍 (double Ryuu).

Spin-off Manga[]
東京魔人学園剣風帖外伝, or Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuuchou Gaiden. Following in the Tokyo Majin universe, manga artist Ayumi Kasai (笠井あゆみ) and Shuuhou Imai created a spin-off manga about one of the most popular characters: Kureha Mibu. It is titled 妖都鎮魂歌 -トーキョーレクイエム- or Youto Chinkonka -Tokyo Requiem-.
Tokyo Requiem was first serialized in Asuka Comics DX, and ran from October 25, 1999 to August 2001. It was released in two book volumes, and is a rare find.
